What is TrackStudio?

TrackStudio is a Mac app that turns the trackpad into a visual control surface. The left, right, and bottom edges, the four corners, drawn areas, and a center gesture can each run an action, and the layout can change for each app. It requires macOS 13 or later.

How much does TrackStudio cost?

$5 once in the US and ₹499 in India, with local tax shown at checkout. Every feature is included, and there is no subscription.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. The trial lasts 3 days and does not ask for a card. Every feature works during the trial; you only need a license if you keep the app.

Do I need an account or a subscription?

No. There is no account, no sign-in, and no subscription. The license is an offline signed key that the app checks locally, so it keeps working without a connection.

Which Macs and macOS versions are supported?

macOS 13 or later, on both Apple silicon and Intel. The download is a universal build and the disk image is about 6.9 MB.

What is a per-app scene?

A scene is a saved trackpad layout bound to an app. When that app comes to the front, its layout applies; a default scene covers every other app. Scenes let Safari, Figma, and a terminal have different edges, corners, and gestures.

What are the built-in recipes?

Seven starting layouts: Essential, Media, Developer, Designer, Presenter, Minimal, and Accessibility. A recipe fills the regions and gestures for a scene, and you can change any of it afterwards.

Does TrackStudio replace BetterTouchTool?

No. BetterTouchTool is a deeper automation platform with scripting and arbitrary triggers. TrackStudio is a visual layout surface for the trackpad. They can coexist if each gesture has one owner.

Can TrackStudio emulate a middle click?

No. TrackStudio maps trackpad regions and gestures to actions; it does not create extra mouse buttons. If you need a middle click, use a dedicated mouse-button utility.

Does TrackStudio need Accessibility permission?

macOS may ask for Accessibility access. TrackStudio uses it to keep the pointer still while you slide an edge and to run keyboard or window actions.

Is the download notarized?

Yes. The disk image is signed and notarized by Apple, and the same build is published on the GitHub release page.

How is the license delivered?

After checkout, a key is generated and emailed, usually within 10 minutes. Open TrackStudio, choose Activate, paste the key, and confirm. Activation does not need a network connection.

What is the refund policy?

14 days, handled through Dodo Payments, the checkout provider. Email hello@trackstudio.xyz with the order reference.

Can I use TrackStudio on more than one Mac?

The license is not tied to a single machine. Activate it on the Macs you use yourself.

Is TrackStudio the same as the TrackStudio issue tracker?

No. trackstudio.com is an unrelated issue-tracking product, and TrackStudio is also unrelated to n-Track Studio or Track Studio audio software. TrackStudio.xyz is a Mac trackpad app.
