Media is built for the days when the trackpad is a transport control. Two-finger tap plays or pauses, two-finger swipes move between tracks, and three-finger tap mutes without hunting for a key.
These are the regions and gestures the recipe sets. Apply it to a scene, then change anything in Canvas.
| Region or gesture | Action |
|---|---|
| Left edge | Brightness |
| Right edge | Volume |
| Bottom edge | Media scrub |
| Top-left corner | Mission Control |
| Top-right corner | Mute |
| Bottom-left corner | Show Desktop |
| Bottom-right corner | App Switcher |
| Two-finger tap | Play / Pause |
| Two-finger swipe left | Previous track |
| Two-finger swipe right | Next track |
| Three-finger tap | Mute |
| Three-finger swipe up | Mission Control |
| Four-finger tap | Open TrackStudio |
Launch the app and open the scene you want to change.
Choose the book icon in the sidebar, then select Media.
Apply it to the scene. Change any trigger in Canvas; the recipe is a starting point.
Use Media if you listen while you work, take calls at the desk, or want the bottom edge to scrub a timeline without leaving the app in front.
If you take a lot of calls, keep Mute on the top-right corner as a second, larger target. If you edit video, change the bottom edge to a media scrub for the app you use.
It scrubs media. The exact behavior depends on the player; the on-screen display and haptics confirm the change.
Yes. Play/pause, previous, and next use the system media controls, so they work with most podcast players.
No. The Mute action mutes the system audio output, not the microphone. Use your call app for microphone mute.
Every recipe is included. Use the full app for 3 days; activate only if you keep it.
